I was going to title by area code (903-903) but ironically Tyler and Denison share the same area code. Glad I made the number change because my number will appear somewhat locally when having to call parents.

My athletic training career has one again allowed me to relocate and I'm bringing my talents to Denison, Texas. (I've always wanted to say that)

I accepted the job in March before the pandemic thankfully and began my transition to the new school in June once I completed my grad assistantship in Tyler. The pandemic brought out new opportunities to explore Tyler and James and I made the most of it.

We started out by walking our dog, Judge, at different parks. Rose Rudman is his favorite, but we also took him out to Faulkner Park, Lindsey Park, Legacy Trails, and to a new dog park SPCA on Grande. I was upset at us for not taking the time to explore the beautiful town while we still lived there but we sure did make the most of the last few months in town. Enjoy these pictures with our boy. Also Ruby is not featured due to her instigating Judge's protective instincts when she sees another dog, we promise she gets plenty of walks too!

Rose Rudman- Walking trails, right next to Tyler Lee High School.

Faulkner Park: Walking trails with this little lake/pond located between the trails and the tennis courts.

Lake Tyler, the Boulder's/Camp Entrance. Drop off for easy water access, grilling area nearby!

Lindsey Park has huge fields used for soccer where dogs can run free, disc golf, basketball court, and hiking trails for some adventure.

Legacy Trails- New trails in the Tyler area by Fresh on Old Jacksonville. Paved trail that takes you along Old Jacksonville road, leads up to Sunset Paw Park.

Faulkner- Fields to run, trails for hiking, and long side walks along Grande good long stretches for walking!

We had a lot of fun, and once we learned that Judge loved the water we definitely ventured to places with water and have spent just about every weekend at the lake.

Fun fact: White/light colored pitbulls are prone to sunburn so if you have a fur baby in this category please keep this in mind when taking them out during the day!

Now the move, well this wasn't Judge's favorite experience. Once we started boxing up stuff his anxiety went through the roof. There was some minor damage to some items in the house and nothing could be packed without his approval lol.

But once we moved and Judge saw the backyard plus the space he has, he is thriving! Lots of zoomies, naps, and play time for our fur babies. Denison also has it's share of parks and we have already began to explore. Fortunately before the move I got to spend some time in the area scoping out the best places for our evening adventures. So far we have gone to Waterloo, Forest Park, Munson Stadium, and we are trying to get him acquainted with the neighborhood. And since we have an indefinite time period in Denison another blog will come with those specifics on those spots!

Tyler was a great experience, I am going to miss my coworkers, friends, athletes, and all the adventure in between. But I am excited for the new opportunities that lie ahead for the Bowers fam. I'll be at a 5A school teaching and athletic training so it will be a learning period for all of us.

We are excited to explore all the historic vibes that Denison has to offer, and stay tuned for sport updates because if you don't already know, FALL SPORTS ARE A GO.

So excited for my first Battle of the Axe experience, and to be back on the court/field with the talented athletes.

From a Lion to a Yellow Jacket, the new path begins.
